Timeless, elegant interiors. What to look for when designing?

Everyone who prepares to decorate their dream interiors, regardless of whether it is to be the quiet of their own home, office or public space, in which they are staying welcoming guests and visitors – they are educated by browsing dozens of industry materials, photos, films, listening to the advice of architects and interior designers. The dream come true is to create an elegant interior that will shine with timelessness. Is knowledge alone enough to make it happen? Most often, the self-taught realizations are carried out according to his own taste, according to his – not always right ideas. The result of these joyful arrangements is often quite far away, if not from the author’s expectations, then from the balanced proportions of elegance, aesthetics and utility. What should be done to make the interior really elegant and at the same time timeless?

Harmony and style

For elegant interiors to acquire timeless elegance, it becomes necessary to maintain harmony and style in arranging them. Such interiors require keeping simplicity and skillful balancing on the edges of finishes and additions, and the obtained functionality is only then able to surprise – even by the effect of apparent monotony. But all this makes such interiors really soothe calmness and captivate with discreet, unobtrusive comfort and become timeless.

Simplicity, functionality, but original

Both architects and professional interior decorators opt for unusual and original solutions, which under the assumptions of simplicity, functionality and restrained elegance are achieved with special attention to detail, both at the stage of creating the project and implementing the assumed arrangement under the sign of elegant interiors. This is not an easy task, given the difficulties associated with the assumed moderation in style. These arrangement assumptions carry a natural threat of boredom, vagueness and monotony of the obtained space, which can be escaped only by the unique design, originality and the highest quality of selected materials, as well as by surprising detail, used in the least expected places. The method of finishing must focus on the elements that are least frequently exchanged, which, due to their necessity and long life, will set the tone of the entire space, ensuring that elegant interiors arranged in this way will not only take on, but also retain their timeless character for a long time.

Artistic sense of detail

A touch of artistic atmosphere in the interiors, if it is not indispensable, is always a desirable element of such a designed space. It gives it a taste of sophistication and subtlety, testifying to the scale and level of sensitivity of people staying in it, their ties with the world of art, culture and the way of perceiving reality. It also raises the bar of applied aesthetics and ennobles it in the eyes of outsiders. There are many ways and means to achieve the desired effect, but regardless of whether they are artistic photographs decorating the walls, abstract canvases of modern painters, graphics of recognized classics or, on the contrary – unknown artists of the young generation – the detail that creates seemingly careless matters, but A well-thought-out collage is a unique impression of communing with a spiritual element that does not serve functionality, but satisfies the higher needs of people living here.

Fantasy solutions

This effect can be enhanced by equipping the interior with fancy design solutions that differ significantly from those typically used. They can be fancifully twisted stairs assembled from a combination of wood not only with steel, but, for example, with glass, stained glass or braided ropes. There are quite a few similar solutions, and the only limiters are the designer imagination, inviolable design principles and the level of costs.

The world is full of colors

An indispensable element of the concept of elegant interiors is the colors used, as well as the rules for combining them. Moderation is the guiding principle in this field, and the general determinant of design that maintains good taste speaks of a combination of up to three colors. Designers, interior decorators and architects are more orthodox and elegant interiors only perceive in a palette mixing two colors. In their opinion, harmony and order do not tolerate the hustle and excess of colorful impressions, and the eye of the aesthet looks for relief more than intense stimuli that do not allow contemplation of sublime creative arrangements.

Invoices and dyeing

So calmed, subdued rooms can be varied by the texture of the surface, which will create a noticeable contrast, accentuating the naturalness and cosiness of the home space natural stone, wood, fabric, raw plaster. White and pink, white and purple, white and shades of pearly gray – such colors used in the interior may seem chaotic, but this is only a momentary impression and an apparent play of colors. In fact, when the eye gets used, the colorfully composed space turns out to be harmonious and coherent. The timeless elegant interior is usually arranged in monochrome. She likes both modern and avant-garde style. Economical selection of colors is a concept for arrangers certain of their knowledge, skills and sense of style, but such projections will always be on time and are chosen by those who value the discreet charm of an exquisite elegance that does not succumb to passing styles.

However, this does not bother – what is bolder – a bit of madness, of course maintaining the appearance of restraint with a grain of salt. This segment’s high school, which is an elegant interior, is reserved for artistically defiant souls.
